Sidney "Carl" Light died May 22, 1978 in Las Vegas.  Carl was a Navy veteran.

Services for Carl were held in Victoria with the burial taking place at Colonial Gardens Cemetery.

Survivors: mother,  Alma Manthey Light; son, Gerald Scott Light; and sister, Mrs. John Goldman.
