Franklin Neil Posey

Victoria - Franklin Neil Posey, 73, of Victoria, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2014.  He was born on Febraury 9, 1941 in Henderson, TX to the late Williard E. Posey and Lucille Brown Posey.  After a 34 year career as an engineer, Neil retired from Union Carbide.  He was a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Goliad, TX.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline Browning Posey; sons, Les Posey, Doud Posey (Joye), Ken Posey (Debbie), Darryl Rhodes (Sally); daughter, Donna Frontz; sister, Genelle Goyen (Dan); 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; and his loyal four-legged companion, Heidi.

Visitation to be held Friday, March 28, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Victoria, TX  The funeral service to be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, Victoria, TX.  Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Neil's grandsons; Philip Posey, Robert Neil Posey, Noah Posey, Conner Posey, Cody Posey, Colton Frontz and Tyler Rhodes.  Honorary pallbearers are the Victoria High School Classes of '58 and '59 and members of The Barbarshop Choir.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Victoria or First United Methodist Church, Goliad, TX.
