Marjorie Anne Russell (Britt)

Marjorie Anne Russell Britt went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, December 15, 2018.

Anne was born on January 21, 1941 in Houston, Texas.  Her family moved to Victoria, TX when she was six and remained there until she graduated from Victoria High School.  She then attended Lilly Jolly School of Nursing of Houston.  It was there she met Ben Britt, who was a student at the University of Houston.  Anne and Ben were married on August 26, 1960 at the First Presbyterian Church in Victoria,.

Anne and Ben resided in Houston until Ben graduated from college in 1963, when they moved to San Antonio.  They lived in San Antonio until 1971 when Ben's job moved him to Dallas.  Upon retirement, they moved to McKinney, Texas.

Anne was preceded in death by her father, Dee Raymond Russell and her mother, Marjorie Wofford Russell.  She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ben Nelson Britt and her children; Ben Russell Britt, Darryl Wofford Britt, Susan Jill Canales, and Reagan Nelson Britt, all of whom reside  in the Dallas area and by her grandchildren: Austen Nikkole Merrell and Joshua Ryan Merrell, both of Temple, Texas.

Anne and Ben are members of Grace Bible Church in Dallas, Texas.  It was at church that Anne and Ben truly began to understand and come to follow Jesus.  Anne loved this church more than anything.

Anne was a member of the Order of the Easter Star for many years; serving the organization in many capacities, as well as serving as Past Matron of both the Richardson Chapter and the Balch Springs Chapter.  Anne also had a love of ceramics and embraced that as a hobby which spanned many years.

A memorial service was held at the Grace Bible Church, 11306 Inwood Road, Dallas TX 75229, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019.  In lieu of flowers, contributions were requested to be sent to Grace Bible Church.
