Susan Shattuck King Huerta:

Peacefully departed this life, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at home under the new moon with her loved ones and beloved pets at her side at the age of 77.

SERVICE: Greenwood Chapel, Saturday, May 19 at 11 am 

MEMORIAL: Friday May 18, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Greenwood Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, TX.

Susan was born April 15, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia to Morris and Louise Shattuck.  She went on to study at the gulf Park of Mississippi and later the University of Texas.  Since then, Fort Worth became her city that she proudly calls home where she raised her family with kindness, undconditional love and support.  Among many talents, Susan had an irrefutable passion for gardening plants and flowers.  She loved to nurture them and watch them grow.  Among her other talents was her extraordinary craft for baking and cooking dishes.  She love to cook for her family and friends whenever she could, and everything she made wa perfect, even if she was ever uncertain.  Susan was truly an exquisite woman, she loved and cared for a lot of people and a lot of people loved and cared for her.  Suan is prededed by both parents, Morris and Louise Shattuck.  Susan's youngest child, son, John Scott.

SURVIVORS: Jose-Lorenzo Huerta, husband; Jim Shattuck, brother, and wife, Carol; two daughters, Louisa Wisa Love and Susan Lawrence: three grandchildren; Boyd Dixon, Stacy Estrada, and Brittany Douglas: godson, Frank Medina; three great-granddaughters, Lucy Estrada, Flora Hughes-Dixon, and Claire Dixon.  

Susan touched the loves of many people.  She will be forever loved.
