Comments:
I went to Victoria Junior College and then got married in 1961. After living in Beaumont for several years, we moved to Houston where I completed my degree at U of H. I began as a teacher in the Houston Independent School District in 1972 after my two children were close to school age. Later I served as a magnet coordinator and assistant principal before becoming a principal in three schools. In 1998 I moved to the central office in Houston ISD as the assistant superintendent of the Professional Development Department until I retired in 2011. One of my favorite experiences in recent years was to go to Aspen, Colorado on two mountain climbing expeditions. I recently moved to Richmond, Texas to live near my son, David, and my daughter, Melinda.
