James "Barney" Phillips

Went to U of T and graduated with BS and MS in Chem. Engr. Worked for Exxon (then Humble), Tenneco, Champion Chemicals, and Koch. Lived in Istanbul, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janerio, as well as Colorado (where I met Joanna)and Kansas. Divorced once and currently married for 32 years.
Hobbies/Intersts: woodworking, gardening, church
Currently, we are retired on a ranch, letting someone else take care of the cows and the property. We have lived in Bryan/College Station 19 years.
It is a bit odd for a Longhorn to live in Aggieland, but I almost went to school here. John Krebs and I had a room reserved here, but I decided I couldn't go to a school with no girls!!

I moved there as a senior and will always remeber and appreciate the kindness and welcome I received immediately after moving there. My most memeorable experience? Hard to say, but I do recall being shocked to find out the girl (Gay) I asked to the Homecoming was also the Queen!
