Peggy Ann Birmingham Warren

My husband and I moved around for 20 years while he served in the USAF. He retired in 1973 and we returned to Victoria. He worked one year at CPL and 23 years at Union Carbide. I worked for Victoria Independent School Dist. for 37 years. My husband passed away in 2000 and I have stayed busy. I attended the Civilian Police Academy. I still enjoy making and selling Stingaree jewelry. I have been fortunate enough to live in Italy for 3 years,Washington, California, S.Dakota, Minnesota, Mississippi. I have been to Hawaii, Bahamas, Colorado, Destin Florida, Vermont,New Hampshire, and North Carolina and Victoria is still my home. I love to bowl but have not bowled in several years due to two knee surgeries and a total knee replacement last year. I still own the Open Class bowling title for doubles along with Marie Worsham of Victoria. PJ is my long haired chihuahua and is the love of my life and like me he is moving a bit slower these days at 15. I have made homecoming and Sadie Hawkins Mums for the past 5 years and this will be my last year most likely. I am still active with my Red Hat group and enjoy it very much. We travel some but mostly we go to the theatre together and have dinner once a month. My family has for many years gone out to eat every two weeks and to a different restaurant. We celebrate our birthdays together and really enjoy spending this quality time together. Most recently I have been joining a group of retired teachers (all men) but I have been trying to encourage some other female teachers/secretaries retired to join us once a month for breakfast. It is such fun. Fixing to start planning our 60th class reunion along with Joye and hopefully many others. Our 50th reunion was a rewarding experience. Seeing all those faces after 50 years was just awesome. Our committee met frequently and we had a good excuse to get together and share a meal or share ideas, talents, and information on lost classmates. I must say that when it was all said and done our efforts were well rewarded just by seeing how relaxed everyone was and that both events were enjoyed by everyone. I can't think of a thing that would have made it better unless I had more time to visit with "everyone" one on one and that just almost never happens. You guys all looked just fabulous and seeing those smiles on your faces was the ultimate for me. We are looking forward once again to seeing all that can attend our 60th reunion. We can't afford to let too much time go by because we aren't getting any younger but............we are getting better every day! The hardest thing is keeping up with current addresses and phone numbers for graduates so we can send an invitation to this reunion.
